NLCS, Game Four Recap: So Much Awesome
I’ve had to deal with midterms these past few weeks, which is part of the reason why these recaps are so short. So you can imagine my excitement whilst sitting in the library, checking Gameday once every so often (if I had left it open, there’s no possible way any work would have gotten done). This game was scary, but…it was also fun. Madison Bumgarner only went 4.2 innings- while he struck out six, he gave up three runs and a walk. Not his best outing, but the Giants still managed to win- thanks to the heroics of Gerald Demp “Buster” Posey, who went four for five with two doubles and a WPA of .401, easily the best performance of the night. That Cody Ross guy didn’t do too bad either, going 1-3 with a double and reaching base via a hit by pitch.
The matchup of aces occurs again Thursday, when Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay face off at AT&T Park at 4:30 PM. I don’t know about you guys, but…I’m getting pretty darn excited.
