NLCS Game One, Quick Recap
I’ll be honest with you- I didn’t expect the Giants to win this one. It’s not because I don’t think the Giants can compete against the Phillies, or that Tim Lincecum would get hit hard- it’s because they were facing arguably the best pitcher in the game right now, and I really don’t trust the Giants’ offense. Boy, am I glad they proved me wrong.
Cody Ross led the charge with two- that’s right, two– home runs off of Halladay, accounting for two of the Giants’ four runs. Lincecum threw seven solid innings, and Brian Wilson shut the door after coming in the eighth with two down and one on, and each out recorded was via strikeout.
Jonathan Sanchez takes the mound today against Roy Oswalt. Let’s see what “Dirty” can do against the formidable Phillies lineup.
